Ok this is gonna be very short...We had a stinker last night. Probably the worst we will ever play again this term. Completely off color. If the first half, which wasn't good in any way could be excused by saying we went for containment and all that, the 2nd half was an utter mess. We managed to play even worse. They Home side noticed our lethargy and simply went for the jugular. Wave after wave of attack saw us under the cosh and i recall telling someone that if we get through this without conceding it'll be a miracle..Alas we conceded.. Higuain showed exactly the kind of marksmanship that made him popular at the Bernabeu turning Mertasacker before firing home left footed into the bottom corner. Things then went from bad to worse as Arteta picked up a 2nd booking and exited the game. We were suddenly in a right mess, but still tried to do the basics right,even though by now our lads looked like they just wanted to leave the pitch. Then they scored the 2nd via Callejon after news from Marseilles filtered in that Dortmund had scored.So 2-0 it ended and we finish 2nd behind Dortmund after looking like favorites to win the group. Not much else to say,we didn't get our tactics right and i'd go even as far as saying we just weren't up for this game. It could have been worse though, imagine if we had conceded in the 1st half. I don't wanna over analyse, we ballsed this one up big time! They were the better team and paid us back in our coin for their defeat in London. Roll on City Saturday.
